We expect to see very deep discounts from children’s clothing retailers earlier than normal this year, and with more inventory remaining.
Typically, we wouldn’t see 70% off deals until February, and 80% off until March. But, we’re already seeing some sales up to 70% off.
Retailers won’t want to be the ones stuck holding the inventory, so they will do all they can to entice us to spend with them. Many people take advantage of End of Season sales, and with today’s economy, it’s expected people will spend less overall. So, the sooner the retailers can get your buck, the better.
We saw unprecedented sales, promotions, and free shipping offers leading up to Christmas. Some retailers were more aggressive than others and are now better balanced with their remaining inventory — even though they likely didn’t profit from their sales as much as in previous years.

Is anyone shopping today? We checked all the sites, for something fun going on today, and all is quiet. We thought for sure someone would offer a unique Christmas greeting – at least! If not some special offers. But, no such luck.
Maybe we’ll see some fun things tomorrow on the day after X-mas sales.

Can you get it before Christmas?
In most cases, the answer is still yes. We only found a handful of retailers who are no longer offering pre-Christmas shipping gaurantees or don’t offer express shipping at all:
Hanna Andersson, Naartjie, Strasburg Children and Pumpkin Patch are not offering express shipping for the Holiday, but you can still shop in stores if you’re lucky enough to live near by (none of these retailers have stores nationwide).
Boden does not offer express shipping either — and, with no stores this side of the pond, we’re out of luck for Christmas at this point.

LoobaLee.com is going live in “Private Beta” mode. This is an important phase in bringing our new platform and service to life. In this phase, we will open up a consumer-accessible web site to a controlled and increasing number of interested users.
As such, our quantity of listings and sales activity will increase as we progress along and invite more and more users.
Why launch in Private Beta?
Launching in a Private Beta mode allows us to raise awareness of the site, gather feedback from our private beta users, and fix any system bugs or issues that may arise prior to a full public launch.
As a Private Beta user, we only ask that you share your feedback with us on how to improve the site, communicate any problems you encounter, and be patient with us as we fix and improve. Should you experience any significant issues, we will be at-the-ready to resolve them.
How do you get in?
The nature of such a private beta means that access to the site requires a unique code. By selecting the “Request a Code” button (above, below, or on the left sidebar) you will be directed to our request form.
The sooner you make your request, the sooner you will be given access, as requests will be fulfilled on a first-come, first-served basis. Once your request comes to the top of the list, you will be emailed your unique access code and further instructions.
Why join?
After you receive a code, you will be able to set up a LoobaLee account, and be able to buy and sell on the site and try it out before it goes live to the public.
Throughout private beta and before we launch publicly, you will be able to LIST FOR FREE.
- Our normal flat-rate listing fee of $0.33 will be waived to encourage users to list in high quantity and help us grow our inventory of items for sale.
- And, our normal 3 month listing period will be extended to 6 months for Private Beta users. This will ensure your item gets plenty of public attention if it doesn’t sell in Private Beta mode.

One of our main goals of launching in a controlled, private manner is to get YOUR feedback! LoobaLee offers a NEW way to buy and sell children’s clothing on-line.
The inspiration for building LoobaLee was to counteract some of the frustrations of our own experiences buying and selling on-line in the past. And, we wanted to create a service for all busy Moms out that that is uniquely customized and focused on buying and selling children’s designer clothing.
We’ve gone to great lengths to eliminate many of the hassles we’ve all experienced in the past via auction and group sites — namely:

3 Key Tips for Shopping the Boden End of Season Sale

First of all, the whole Boden website is on sale — but be careful, you may not be getting a better deal than recent promotions, such as $20 off an $80 purchase with free shipping and free returns. Johnnie drives a tricky sale:
- Shipping and Returns will be full cost, at your expense. Shipping is $10 flat rate. So, let’s do the math:
- Small orders are simply not a good value. If you have a $50 order, Shipping will be another 20% (there goes a lot of your savings!). If your order is under $50, your discount will likely be fully gobbled up by shipping charges.
- To pay no more than 10% of your order on additional shipping charges, you’ll need to spend at least $100. The more over $100 your order, the better you’ll do on your shipping to item price ratio.
- And, shop carefully, because if you have to make a return — that will be at your expense as well, and you could end up in the hole.
- TIP: If you wait until the Sale site merges with the Spring Preview site (coming in January), you will be able to add remaining Sale items to a Free Shipping & Returns promotion on new Spring merchandise.
- The items with the least remaining inventory will have the lowest discount rate, e.g. 25%. There isn’t a standard discount, rather, we have found it is based on the quantity of remaining inventory. As a result, most of the inventory will sell out at about the same rate.
