Aeropostale for Kids…Open for Business!

by Tina on July 10, 2009

There’s a new kid in the fashion world.. P.S. from Aeropostale!

p.s. from aeropostaleAéropostale is already well know in your local shopping mall as a retailer of casual apparel and accessories at affordable prices.  Now, they have spun off a line for the younger “tween” crowd of 7-14 year old boys and girls.  A market that is considerably lacking in kid friendly and parent approved clothing.  While the first two stores opened last month in New York , plans are to open 10 more stores in the New York metropolitan area by the end of the year.  The E-commerce site ps4u.com has just opened for business.  p.s. from Aeropostale

Julian Geiger, Aeropostale’s C.E.O. has the right idea.  Rather than telling kids what they should wear, they give their customers what they want to wear.  A breath of fresh air from the retailers telling kids what’s cool rather than the other way around.  P.S. from aeropostale offers a brand that is happy, fun and cool.

From the looks of their website, they are delivering!  You can outfit your kids from head to toe without breaking the bank.  The site is loaded with affordable tees, jeans, and hoodies for boys and girls.  They even have uniforms and backpacks for back to school.

With the fall shopping season right around the corner, it’ll be interesting to see just how well they will fit into the marketplace.

Enter code PS4U25 at the checkout to get 25% off one P.S. from Aeropostale item.

Hi Jessica, I think your situation represents a lot of families right now, and it is one of our inspirations behind LoobaLee. We think all kids should have the opportunity to dress in nice clothing, and when you buy quality, the items tend to hold their value and may be able to be resold at or close to the amount you paid for them originally. If shopping LoobaLee, here are some tips I can offer:

1) Register for a Free Account so you can maintain a Watch List, and start adding items to your watch list.

2) Sellers have the option to Clearance their items after 30 days. If they elect to do so, their items will be discounted from the original price by 15% the first week of clearance, 30% the second week, and all the way down to 45% off the 3rd week of clearance. This is when you can grab some amazing deals on high quality, name-brand clothing.

3) We have both Moms like yourself selling outgrown, gently used clothing as well as designers & boutiques selling samples and New-with-tags overstocks on the site. The NWT items are great deals at 50 -80% off retail, though some deals that may be a better fit for your budget will be one-of-a-kind items being sold by other Moms.

4) Decide the price ranges you are willing to pay for certain items, and shop around. We hope you’ll find excellent deals on resale or overstocks at Loobalee, but you can also watch our bi-weekly posting on our blog (Mondays and Thursdays) for all the current coupons, free shipping, and promotions offered at major children’s retailers.

Hope this gives you some good ideas Jessica. Thanks for stopping by and for your interest in LoobaLee!

where are the store…..? please answer me

The initial press release indicated that the flagship store in West Nyack, NY and 9 additional P.S. by Aeropostale stores in the “New York Metropolitan area” were scheduled to open in 2009. We found 10 of them but aren’t sure if there are , in fact, additional stores scheduled to open this year:

1 > Queens Center, Elmhurst NY
2 > Staten Island Mall, Staten Island NY
3 > Willowbrook Mall, Wayne NJ
4 > Woodbridge Center Mall, Woodbridge, NJ
5 > Palisades Center, West Nyack, NY
6 > Shops at North Brunswick, North Brunswick, NJ
7 > Bridgewater Commons, Bridgewater, NJ
8 > Cherry Hill Mall, Cherry Hill, NJ
9 > Freehold Raceway Mall, Freehold NJ
10) > Promenade at Sagemore, Sagemore NJ

We used the Store Locator feature on the Aeropostale website to find these P.S. from Aeropostale stores, however it wasn’t easy! There is no quick link to see all the P.S. by Aeropostale stores in one place. We searched by City and State.

We originally understood that some of the Aeropostale stores would be integrating items from the P.S. lines into their stores, but haven’t found any of these yet. If you are aware of any examples, please let us know – thanks!

your clothes are really fresh, new and exiting but I can’t get to them because I live in Florida. Is there a possibility that a store with P.S. will be here?

Tina February 3, 2010 at 5:22 pm
RettaJae, Good news! We’ve contacted p.s. from aeropostale customer service and they tell us they do plan to open stores in Florida later this year and into next year. We’ve seen a small selection of p.s. kids items in our local Aeropostale store, you may find them in your local store as well. In the mean time, you can follow them on Facebook using the link here to keep up with the latest news.> http://www.facebook.com/ps4u
