If you love mini Boden as we do here at LoobaLee, you’re gonna be jumping for joy that your older kids will fit into the new Johnnie b collection designed just for kids 10 and up.  The new range fills the gap where mini Boden leaves off and Boden’s selection for men and women pick up. 

The styles are much more grown up than those of mini Boden but still very age appropriate.  Trendy, simple and youthful.  Clothing that kids will wear and parents won’t cringe at!  A feat that is seemingly impossible in some households.  You’ll find no inappropriate cuts on the jeans or questionable sayings on the t-shirts.  A breath of fresh air compared to some other teen brands!  

Johnnie b (JB) sizing does overlap with it’s mini Boden fashions.  JB teen offers extra small to extra large sizing which fits boys 55″-72.5″ tall and girls who are 55″-66″ tall.  With only a slight difference in hip and waist measurements, an XS would fit Boden size 10,  Small fits Boden size 12 and Medium fits Boden size 14.  According to the Johnnie b size chart, this leaves size large and x-large fitting those 16 to 20.  JB also offers matching accessories and footwear for US sizes 4 to 10 1/2. 

The down side is that you’ll pay a bit more for the grown-up styles.    You’ll spend $58 for Johnnie b’s regular and slim fit jeans versus $36 for mini boys vintage and straight leg jeans. 

With kids in this age bracket growing faster than you can keep up, you may want to consider how much value per wear you can get out of the clothing.  While we find mini Boden clothing to wear like iron (check our Boden listings on LoobaLee) – teens typically outgrow their clothing before it’s outworn.  But, if you plan to pass down or resell the garments, Johnnie b makes sense!!

Now that Thanksgiving is behind us and the hype of black Friday and cyber Monday are a thing of the past, it’s time to gear up for the holiday season.  It hardly seems possible that some merchants are thinking beyond winter jackets and fuzzy sweaters, but some are already thinking Spring.  If you’ve already had all the holiday you can handle (we hope you haven’t), you can sneak away and check out mini Boden’s Spring Preview.  

If you are ready (and willing) to shop for the warm weather, you can save 20% on clothing for your kids.  Boden will also pick up the cost of shipping and will accept returns at no cost.  The only catch is that you will have to wait six weeks for your purchase to arrive.  Items will not be shipped until January.  

This preview offer is typically the best savings you will find beyond the year end clearance, and the one that will provide the best selection.  Many favorites tend to sell out quickly.  There will be more discounts to come but, they will decrease from 15% off to 11% off and shipping may or may not be complimentary.  They also run a buy 3 get a 4th for $1 promotion which can be tricky to maximize savings.
