I was just looking at Garnet Hill's Kids Sale today. On Monday, I received an email the the Kids Sale would end on July 13, Tuesday. To verify my suspicions, I jotted down a variety of boys and girls items and their prices to go back and check after the Sale Ended. The specific wording of the email promo on Monday was "Last Chance to Save During Our Annual Kid's Summer Sale Event. Stock up now while supplies last! Prices valid only through July 13."

Well, I was correct -- the prices did not go up, the items are still in the sale section, there are no changes (except we will eventually see prices decline). The only change is in the marketing of the "Sale". It has now turned over from the Kids Summer Sale to "The Summer Sale & Clearance Event".

So, I personally don't buy into this type of marketing. If something "Ends", it should End. There is nothing I could find different in the sale from my review on the 12th to my review today on the 15th.

What your thoughts on this? One good thing to know is that when Garnet Hill decreases their prices, they stay decreased until the inventory is gone. I have never seen them run a sale where the prices go back up.
