Well, we did it! We washed this 77kids t-shirt 77 times! Many thanks to Melissa for diligently tossing the shirt in with her laundry 
We think it held up very well: Virtually no shrinking, color stayed, fabric softened and didn’t pill, seamless tag is still in tact. Note that we did not throw the t-shirt in the dryer. It was washed only and hung to dry.
The only problem we had was with the stitching around the neckline. About 2″ of stitching loosened and fell out approx. 1/2 way through the washes. However, we fully expected it to unravel further, and it didn’t.
We called 77kids today to inquire about the return policy (after 77 washes!). We were pleasantly informed that there is no limit to their policy – unreal! They would have accepted our return for any reason. With a receipt, they would have provided a full refund. Without a receipt, we have received a replacement for the t-shirt or store credit.
Wow — how many stores offer this today!? Even the Gap has recently limited their returns for on-line orders to just 30 days.
While we think our 77 washes test went very well, we are even more pleased with 77kids Customer Service. ✩✩✩✩✩

Several people have asked us about drying and curious why we didn’t dry the shirt in our “77 Washes Guarantee” test. We talked to 77kids about their testing process, and they run their items 77 times through the washer only (not 77 time through the dryer, too) — so we mimicked their exact approach. But, we and various others are curious how well the shirt will hold up through the multiple washing AND drying cycles, so we’re going to take the same shirt and start testing! Afer we dry the shirt enough times to notice any changes, we’ll report back. So, stay tuned!

77Kids 77 Washes update: Well, our poor little shirt has now been washed AND dried about 30 more times, for a total over 100 washes After the FIRST time through the dryer, the shirt shrunk up about 1/4″. Its 100% cotton, so some shrinkage is expected, but to our surprise the shrinkage was minimal and it hasn’t shrunk any further. In fact the sleeves haven’t shrunk at all. There are no additional flaws and still no fraying, no pilling, and all seams are in tact. In fact, the particular cotton of this shirt keeps getting softer and softer. So, after at least 100 washes — we still love this shirt and can highly recommend.
I like the look of 77Kids clothes online. I personally have never bought anything from there store. However, I do own many things from there parent store American Eagle and if 77Kids is like AE the clothes they last along time.
