We found an interesting article from Lands’ End and Parenting Magazine announcing results of their Back to School Survey.
The article highlighted how back to school shopping symbolizes a “fresh start” for parents and their families. We agree that the fall is a wonderful time to get back into the swing after the long summer days. New clothes, new teacher, new lunchbox and another excuse to establish a new routine.
We were very happy to learn that 94% of parents responding to the survey say their kids are involved in their back to school shopping. What do kids think about hand-me-downs? “They think that it’s okay when jackets (58 percent), jeans (53 percent), tops (51 percent) and backpacks (38 percent) are handed down. More than a quarter (26 percent) of kids who said they have never had hand-me-downs, wished they did.”
