We asked our site visitors if they had a favorite rebate site and the biggest vote getter was Ebates. All four sites in our poll are free of charge to use and offer money back but the payment forms differ with each program.
Ebates offers cash back on purchases by sending you a check or crediting a Paypal account. You can even donate your rebate to your favorite charity. The list of retailers is plentiful and the rebates can go as high as 12%.
While UPromise came in second, they offered comparable and sometimes higher rebates on many children’s name brands. However, their rebates accumulate in an account until you decide to use it in a 529 college savings plan, pay student loans or assist with college expenses.
BondRewards works very much the same but they encourge building up your savings. With BondRewards you have the option of cashing in your rewards for US Savings Bonds or having it deposited into your savings account. They also have a much smaller list of retailers to choose from.
Big Crumbs works on a referral system. The more people you refer, the more rebates you earn. You also earn rebates on your own purchases. Although rewards can accumulate quickly if enough of your referrals use the site, BigCrumbs pays out rebates by crediting a Paypal account only. Good for some but not for everyone.

Hi Tina — Thanks! Great job! What a cute little Twitter guy too!
In my experience with the rebate sites, Upromise offers the most children’s clothing retail sites and often an equal to or better discount than rival sites. You’ll also find a high variety of stores at Baby Mint, another college savings site. But,if cash back is what you’re after then your best bet is eBates or Fat Wallet — or both (they have slightly different offerings).
